FAQ

Good
questions.

Everything people ask before they download Pinned. If we missed one, tell us.

What is Pinned?

Pinned is a peptide tracking app. It does four things really well: the math for mixing your vials, the schedule for taking your doses, the log of what you've taken, and an AI coach that knows your stack and answers questions about it.

If you've ever tried to track peptides in a spreadsheet or a notes app, Pinned is the thing you wished existed.

Is it free?

Yes. The core app — calculator, tracker, logging, the library — is free forever. No sign-up needed to try it. You can use the calculator for BPC-157 without an account at all.

Pinned Premium ($6.67/mo, billed annually) unlocks unlimited Coach messages, the Stack Optimizer's full report, and exports. We'll never gate the safety-critical stuff like dose math behind a paywall.

Do I need an account?

Not to look around. You can open the app, tap "I agree" on the disclaimer, and land on the Today screen as a guest. From there, you can run the calculator for BPC-157 and browse the full peptide library.

You only need an account when you want to save something — your stack, your inventory, your dose history, or to chat with Coach. Sign-up is free, takes 10 seconds, and uses just an email + password (or Google / Apple).

Does Pinned give medical advice?

No. Pinned is an educational tracking tool. We surface dosing math, community protocols, and peer-reviewed research, but nothing in the app is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment.

The Coach is an AI built on Claude and trained on peptide literature. It's a great assistant for questions about how a peptide works, but it's not a doctor. Always check with a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any protocol.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your stack, doses, vials, and Coach chats live on your device (encrypted) and in your private Pinned account. We don't sell data, run ads, or share anything with third parties.

You can export everything as JSON anytime, and delete your account whenever you want — that wipes the data on our side immediately.

Can I use Pinned for oral peptides like MK-677?

Yes — you can track and log oral peptides the same way you would injections. The calculator's math is built for injections, so for oral peptides taken as drops or capsules, the "draw units" warning will tell you it doesn't fit a syringe (it shouldn't — you use a dropper).

Logging, scheduling, Coach, and the library all work the same for oral peptides. We're building a dedicated oral-dosing flow next.

How does the vial scanner work?

Point your camera at a vial label. Pinned reads the vendor and lot number, then cross-references it against our live feed of 270+ independently rated suppliers — sourced from Finnrick, Janoshik, and PeptideScores public lab data.

You get an instant letter grade (A+ to F) for that specific vendor's testing history, plus the vial auto-fills into your inventory with stability countdown started.

What if I miss a dose?

For daily peptides, just take it when you remember (unless it's close to your next dose — then skip and continue normally). For weekly peptides like Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, take a missed dose within 5 days; past that, skip it and resume on your normal day.

Your streak resets if a day is missed, but the Tracker keeps your full history and adherence percentage so you can see patterns over time. Coach will give specific guidance based on which peptide you're asking about.

Does Pinned work offline?

Mostly, yes. After the first launch the app caches itself, so the calculator, logging, library, and your saved data all work without internet.

Coach needs a connection (it talks to Anthropic's API), and the vial scanner's vendor lookup needs one too. Everything else is local-first.

Can I export my data?

Yes — every dose, every vial, every protocol you've saved is exportable as a single JSON file from your Profile screen. Free and unlimited; no premium tier required for export.

We're working on PDF exports for sharing with doctors, and a CSV option for spreadsheet folks.
